A: Yes we have an online system which is really simple to use. We send you a link, follow the steps and fill it in, then sign electronically. You can save a pdf - painless and paper free.

Q: DO YOU HAVE A CONTRACT?

A: Our payment terms are super simple. A booking fee is due at the time of booking and is determined by the session booked. The final balance is then due the day after the shoot.

Q: WHAT ARE THE PAYMENT TERMS?

A: We do. Our sessions are based on 1 Family of up to 6 people. When there are multiple families in one session it effectively takes twice as long or equivalent to two sessions. We can cater for multiple families on a session but we have bespoke pricing so please ask for more info.

Q: DO YOU HAVE RESTRICTIONS ON NUMBERS?

A:  Deciding what to wear for your family shoot can always be tricky. There are a few factors to take into consideration. Think about the time of year you are having your shoot. Be warm in winter and cool in summer but remember Autumn/Winter usually means down jackets and those aren't the most complimentary of clothing items. Be brave and be colourful. Dress like you are going for a nice day out. Most importantly make sure you feel your best self in whatever you choose to wear.

Q: what should we wear for our family shoot?

A: ERM, HELL YEAH YOU CAN. Pets are family too and should definitely be part of the team when you have your shoot. We'll include them in some of the photos and also make sure they get their turn at being the star of the show!

Q: CAN we bring our pet to our family shoot?

A: We have done family shoots in all kinds of locations from the Yorkshire Moors to City Centres. For our Mini Shoots we choose our locations but for our longer shoots we collaborate and decide where you want to go. We suggest that it's usually a place that means something to you as a family but it isn't essential. Something to consider though is variety of backdrops. Some locations can look a bit similar from any angle. Our personal faves are urban locations as there is so much variety.

Q: What locations work best?

A: We take a slightly different stance to wet family shoots as we do for our weddings. If you really don't fancy enduring the rain we can postpone the shoot to an alternative date. However, we would encourage you to go ahead still as it can make for some unique photo opportunities. Just dress for the occasion and embrace it.

Q: WHAT IF IT RAINS ON Our shoot DAY?

A: It's super simple here. ANYTHING GOES. From children to adults and even furry friends. We all have different personalities and it's our job to capture their true character. We ask that parents allow us to become the leader of the pack for the duration of the shoot and let everything go. The word no can sometimes be the end of a shoot due to a change in mood so let's keep the energy high and see where the adventure takes us.

Q: How do you keep the family in check?

A: Shyness is still a type of personality and we can work with that. Think about bringing a personal item of theirs to the shoot so that it re-assures them that this is a safe space. We sometimes use these items to help them relax into the shoot. If you know your child is likely to be shy then we would recommend one of our longer shoots. This gives us and them a chance to connect with them and feel more comfortable in having their photograph taken. 

A Family shoot should never be a traumatic experience so we may even end a shoot early if we see any kind of distress. We can then discuss options from there.
